Process improvement

Finding what slows a process down, and running it more efficiently in Integrin

Process improvement is a core Integrin capability, built on the same platform as the compliance products and used across the whole business.

Every product on this website, from CBAM to EUDR, is built on the same platform we use to improve the way your business runs.

In most businesses, the information a process needs arrives in emails, PDFs and spreadsheets, and from systems that don't talk to each other. People type it in again, check it manually and chase each other for decisions. The work is slow, errors get through, and nobody can see where things stand.

How we work

From finding the problem to running the new process

  1. 01

    Inefficiencies found

    Identify the inefficiencies

We map how the process really runs, from the first document to the final result, and mark where it slows down or goes wrong.

    • Information duplicated across systems and spreadsheets
    • Work waiting for someone to check or approve it
    • Errors found late, after they have caused rework
    • Steps whose status nobody can see

At the end of this step

A clear picture of the process as it really runs, with each delay, repeated task and source of error marked.

  2. 02

    Data in one place

    Bring the data together

The information a process needs is usually spread across email attachments, PDFs, spreadsheets and other systems, each in its own format. Integrin brings it into one set of records. Documents are imported from PDFs and spreadsheets, and other systems send their data through an API. Integrin reads each document and records what the process needs, so nobody types it in again.

At the end of this step

One set of records, filled from the documents and systems you already have.

  3. 03

    Process redesigned

    Streamline the process

With the data in one place, the process is redesigned. Steps that only moved information are removed, and manual checks become business rules.

    • Every record validated against your rules
    • Errors assigned to the person who resolves them
    • Everything else processed automatically
    • All activity, including approvals, fully audited

At the end of this step

A shorter process: manual checks replaced by business rules, leaving only errors and approvals to deal with.

  4. 04

    System in place

    Implement the system

We configure the process in Integrin from the same parts the compliance products are built from: forms, rules, workflows and approvals. It is tested on your own documents before it goes live. Where the process needs something the platform doesn't have yet, it's added as a part every customer can use, not written as one-off software.

At the end of this step

The process running in Integrin, tested on your own documents before it goes live.

  5. 05

    Work under control

    Run it and keep improving

Once the process is running, each piece of work is tracked until it is closed, and a dashboard shows what is open, late and at risk. When the business changes, the rules and workflows change with it, without a new project.

At the end of this step

Every piece of work visible from open to closed.

Built for volume

Designed to work at scale

Integrin is built for processes that handle large volumes of documents and data. The work people do depends on the number of exceptions, not the number of records.

Every record checked

Business rules run on every record as it arrives, whether that is ten a day or tens of thousands.

People on the exceptions

Only records that fail a check reach a person, so the volume can grow without adding people to handle it.

Proven at high volume

Before Integrin was founded, its team built the system that cleared 20,000 shipments a day for an Irish customs broker.

Two ways to start

Bring us one process.

Show us how it runs today, with the documents it uses, and we'll show you in a meeting how it would run in Integrin.
